Piazza Navona and more
More pictures from old scetchbooks. This however is a couple of quite ambitious watercolors made in Rome in september 2003. This one is from turistique but otherwise nice Piazza Navona. The most significant memory from Rome ( except from the grandness ) was the amount of Chinese and Japanese tourists gathering really close around the embarrassed artist while working.
Before I visited Rome I had the idea that the wellknown sightings as Pantheon was located with a lot of space around. Enough to give a good overview over the building. In fact that is not at all the case. In addition to that- hundreds of people stood in my way. My solution for the day became to give up Pantheon itself a draw the square in front of it instead.

Vienna
Last summer I visited Vienna with my gospelchoir. In my sparetime-which wasn´t vey long- I made I couple of drawings on watercolorpaper- and later colored them. I rather like Vienna- but there is nothing pittoresque about it. And I usually fall for the medeival narrow type of places.

An old one
I went through one of my big portfolios today and found a sketchbook from a trip to Tuscany, autumn 1999, That if I remember it correctly. This sketch seem to be from Volterra by the signature.
What I remember most vividly from the place is oddly enough the garage, carved out from under the old town in the cliff. Amazing.
